Its been so long and im sorry for not updating very often. lets go back two months and talk about the beautiful baby boy i had.
it was the night of March 11th, 2011 and i started getting very sick. i was up throwing up all night and was in alot of pain which i thought was just from throwing up so much its was just my stomach muscles hurting. the next morning on the 12th i was still way sick and didnt wanna get out of bed. i was worried i was in labor sense the beginning of that week the doctor said i could have him anytime sense i was dilated to a 3 1/2. but sense i wasnt having contractions i figured i just got the flu. i was coughing all the time and throwing up everything i ate or drank.
as the day went on i was still feeling like crap and my stomach was hurting so bad i was in tears. i called my mom crying saying i didnt know what was going on and asked her if she thought i should go into the hospital or just wait it out. she told me to just wait that it was probably the flu.
later that night my aunt came over to watch me to see if i got worse or try to time my pain. well we couldnt time my pain. i was hurting constantly and my stomach would not get hard like a contraction so i laid on the couch while she sat with me. My brother and his wife were kind enough to take jaxon just in case i needed to go into the hospital.
colby then got off work at like 11:30 that night. of course he had to work late on the day i thought i was in labor. once he got home i had him take me to the hospital. not because i thought i was in labor but because i was so dehydrated that i needed to get fluids in me. i knew i was dehydrated cause i couldnt keep water down and my urine was bright orange. (ok TMI...sorry)
so we got there around midnight and got checked in and they wheeled me up to labor and delivery. i go into my gown and all set up in the bed with the monitors on. the nurse soon came in to start my iv and get fluids in me. about half an hour after my doctor came in and checked me and said i was dilated to a four and that my contractions were three minutes apart. turned out all the stomach cramps i was having were contractions but it was weird sense my belly wasnt getting hard. so he just decided to keep me there and break my water! water was broken around 12:30am! let the fun begin!
around 1:30am the nurse came in to check my progress and i was dilated to a six. i was starting to feel more pain but nothing super bad but i decided to get an epidural before the real pain started. after i got the epi the nurse came back around 2:30 and i was dilated to an 8 and minus 1 station.
around 4:20am (this was on daylight savings day so it would have been 3:20) she came and checked me and i was at a 10 and plus 3 station. wow talk about fast. even she and the doctor couldnt believe how fast i went. they got everything set up and ready and i started pushing around 4:30. well i pushed for 10 seconds. breath. pushed 10 seconds. breath. and finally pushed for 7 seconds and the doc told me to stop pushing. the doc just let kacyn slide into the world on his own. he said "im going to prove to you that you dont have to push alot to have a baby" and he was right.
Kacyn Gregery Sparrow came sliding into this world at 4:34am on March 13th, 2011 weighing 6 lbs even and measuring 18 inches long! he was 36 weeks 2 days along!

he was not crying and they were having a hard time getting him to cry. i was worried for my baby. they had to suck out alot of fluid from his lungs and they had to put the mask on to give him air so he wouldnt stop breathing. he finally let out one little cry and that was it. they brought my beautiful baby boy to me and i got to give him a kiss and then they took him away so he could get on oxygen sense he wasnt breathing well. i got moved to the pp wing of the hospital without my baby. three hours later i finally got to see him. he was beautiful. i didnt even sleep cause i just wanted to spend all the time with him.
we had alot of visitors that day and everyone could not get over how beautiful he was. jaxon was so cute when he came to see kacyn.

the next day in the hospital kacyns pedi came into talk to me. he tells me had developed jaundice to a critical level and that he would be under the lights all day and that i would only see him every three hours to feed him and then they would take him away again. that day was horrible. colby had to work all day and i was alone. i cried not being able to have kacyn in my room with me.

the next morning was the day i got released. kacyns jaundice was controlled enough that he was coming home with me. i was so happy to hear that he got to come home. i dont think i could have left him there alone.

we are so happy that he is here and is happy and healthy. all those months of me going in and out of the hospital for 4 kidney stones, a blocked kidney and dehydration 3 times were well worth it. he is one of the lights of my life. we enjoy every minute with him and Jaxon. our life couldnt get any better!
